Commencing in January 2026, ×îÐÂ91ÖÆÆ¬³§ÍƼö wishes to employ a dynamic and suitably qualified Director of Senior Years. The Director of Senior Years is a senior leadership position within the College. The major purpose of this role is to lead and enhance the quality of the educational life of Years 10 – 12 at ×îÐÂ91ÖÆÆ¬³§ÍƼö, ensuring that Child Safety guidelines are adhered to.
This Position of Leadership (Level 4) comes with a component of remuneration and time release. This leadership opportunity is available for a period of 3 years, with an ongoing teaching position associated with the appointments.
The preferred candidate will be enthusiastic, keen to engage and inspire our and students and able to deliver curriculum that caters for students with different learning styles.
The successful applicant will have:
-A proven ability and experience in delivering excellent educational outcomes both in teaching and learning.
-An ability to articulate and action the Aquinas Vision and Mission for Senior Years education within the context of the College’s Catholic identity and evangelising mission.
-An ability to articulate and action the Mission of Aquinas to all partners in Senior Years education.
-A well observed and clear understanding of the teaching and learning climate of Senior Years.
-An understanding of the College’s Mission Charter and Strategic Plan as it specifically relates to education in the Senior Years.
-A clear understanding of the Aquinas philosophy statement for Senior Years education.
-A clear knowledge of all aspects of Senior Years classroom life and activity.
-An ability to continually plan and encourage for improved high quality learning outcomes for all students.
-A commitment to the public policy expectations for teacher work incorporating as appropriate the VIT Teaching Standards, Teaching Australia Charter and VCEA/MACS policies as they pertain to Senior Years.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-An enthusiasm for and commitment to the position.
-A high degree of professionalism.
-An ability to work independently and within a team and executive leadership environment

- Relevant permissions to work in Australia
